What's New in version 2.1?

All these improvements are done upon requests of our customers. Thanks for good ideas!

1. Printing

Now you may print the calculator tape using menu command File->Print...

2. Improved expression input

When you input any operation sign while entering an expression, the CCCalc adds a new text line that contains a new number ready for editing. Previous versions always used zero numbers for it. The new version adds a copy of the current number which is marked by a selection instead of adding a zero. If you continue entering digits, the selected number will be replaced by the new one like it happened with zero in previous versions. E.g. the same key sequence in previous versions of CCCalc and the new one leads to the same expression input.

So why introducing this new mode? There were two reasons:

1. The new mode eliminates annoying "ZERO DIVIDE" messages that occurred after the division sign entered.

2. The new mode gives new convenient possibilities. For example to calculate any number squared you need to enter in once and press "*".

We think that the new way is more convenient. But if you don't like it you may roll it back. Open a settings panel with menu command File->General Settings... and then clean the checkbox "Copy numbers while entering expressions"

3. Minimize window instead of program termination

CCCalc of previous versions had always been terminated when you close its window.

Now the new mode makes it to minimize the window instead of termination, like for instance, the Skype(tm) does.

To enable this mode open settings panel with menu command File->General Settings... and then clean the checkbox "Terminate application when window is closed"

Note that menu command File->Exit and Exit command from popup menu of system tray menu of CCCalc terminates the program regardless the above setting.

4. Change sign button

New button on the virtual keypad that changes a number sign makes this operation more obvious and convenient.
