Introduction

CCCalc (*) is a simple tool for basic calculations.

It can perform four basic arithmetic operations and percent calculations. It also allows:

  • control calculations precision and rounding
  • perform calculations with memory
  • exchange data with another Windows applications

User interface of CCCalc is almost obvious:

  1. Input expressions via computer keyboard
  2. Do corrections as for an ordinary text: set the caret to a necessary place and delete wrong chars or type ones you need. Result will be recalculated automatically.
  3. Exchange data with another applications using mouse drag-drop or system clipboard Copy-Paste operations

When you enter numbers or operations, press the same key sequence as for an ordinary desktop calculator. The response shall be as expected. The only difference here is that you see all lines of your expression, not only the current one.

All other possible actions are almost the same with any ordinary text editor, with few differences though. These differences arise from the idea that text in the CCCalc must always be a valid arithmetic expression that can be calculated. To keep it valid, CCCalc may ignore some keys and for others may do more actions then it can be expected.

Some of these differences that we consider most unobvious are described in following pages:

(*) Name CCCalc is an acronym for "Check-n-Correct-Calculator".
