Calculation settings 6

CCCalc performs all calculations with the certain precision and performs rounding-up for results that are printed after "=". Precision here means the number of significant decimal digits after the decimal dot, provided that all digits before the dot are always significant.

To control round-up and precision use command Calculation settings... from menu File. It will open Calculation Settings dialog box.

Set up values for precision and rounding-up as you need and then press OK.

Notes

1. If rounding-up value equals to precision value then rounding-up is not performed.

2. Large precision value will slow down CCCalc's response, but from 10 to 100 it is not sufficient.

3. Default precision and rounding-up values are 15 and 4 that shall be enough for most of usual calculations. If you feel that they are not enough for you then try to increase them checking how your result's are changed. Find the setting value which cause the result to stop changing after the precision increase.
